Krafty Banner Birthday Card

I’m always looking for ways to use up paper scraps, especially in a cute way. So when I created this card I couldn’t believe how darling it turned out!! I want to make more of these cards (and I probably will)! The scraps come from a variety of paper companies, but I just looked for teal, yellow, and gray (my favorite card color combo of the moment), and put those scraps to good use. Sentiment is from Stampin Up “Friendly Phrases” They’re elevated using pop-up foam stickers.

Starry Woodland Birthday

I created this starry woodland Birthday card for one of my nephews who is turning 5 next month. I’ve been fond of my Lawn Fawn stamps as of late, and used several from different sets for this card. The tree is from Critters in the Forest, birthday sentiment from Chit Chat, and the deer, balloon, and gift from Party Animal. Since all of the patterned papers came from my scrap boxes, I’m not sure of the brands of those. I used a rub on transfer for the number 5 as well, but a stamp, or nice handwriting, would have worked as well. This card is even more perfect since said nephew lives in the Pacific Northwest ๐Ÿ™‚

Familiar Card

This card is very similar to another card I made last year, in case it looks a little familiar, just withย a different sentiment, spacing, and I added pink to the color combination ๐Ÿ™‚

Bright and Beautiful Birthday

Today is the first Saturday of National Craft Month! Each year I have loved making as many crafts as possible during this month, and usually try a new craft as well. Last year I was teaching full time and finishing up my senior project so I didn’t really have a chance to craft as much as I wanted. However, this year I not only have more time, but I have a baby due at the end of May that I want to craft for! So this month will not only include some scrapbook-y and various crafty posts, but a few baby crafting posts as well ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, to kick things off I wanted to share this bright and beautiful birthday card I created today. The base of the card is the only thing not made from paper scraps…something I’m always looking to use. It can easily be duplicated with any large piece of scrap paper, all you’d need to do is switch up the colors. I just love it!
